I work as software engineer for an awesome technology focused Non-Profit Organization in the liberal paradise that is San Francisco, CA. In my spare time I goof off or read tech news like some sort of junkie! My other interests include the history of religion, secular humanism, ethics, post/trans-humanism, cosmology, theoretical physics, and lots of other fun and esoteric topics.

In terms of education, I graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Wesleyan College with a dual-major in Philosophy and Religious Studies. After a short stint as a graduate student in the history of religion at the University of Virginia I worked for several Biotechnology firms in the Boston area while completing my Master’s Degree in Software Engineering at Brandeis University.
